MAYBE FLY
At the moment the winds are possibly too high to safely fly but, as always, we want to fly so, balloonists will be heading to the Town Park to look to set up for launch BUT there is no guarantee of flight. Pilots will be monitoring the weather from the park and if the winds die down sufficiently, we will fly. If they don’t, unfortunately we will have to cancel the flight.
Please consider local residents and other road users when parking/ viewing the balloons and try not to cause any obstruction; road safety must be a priority.
We will be unable to speculate further, at this time, on any further flights (or their likely launch sites) due to take place during the Championships. We will update you on the status of our next scheduled flight after the next Pilots briefing (approx. 6:30am or 4:30pm).
Please note, any/ all information you need for this event will either already be on this page in a previous post or, in the event information post pinned to the top of our page. We will be unable to respond to any queries which relate to previously advised information, respond to messages requesting fly/ no fly decision information prior to our posts, nor advise or recommend, in advance of the outcome of the Pilots Briefing, whether any travel should be undertaken in order to view a launch.
